what counts as an AI edit?
rewriting existing evidence uses an AI edit. rebuilding from changed sources uses a creation. separate research is not included. changing fonts, colors, and existing interactive controls doesn’t. During beta, submitted AI attempts count even if writing cannot finish; no paid retry runs automatically.
